1. Who is responsible?
WHY I LOSE is an early-stage project operated by Rafael Westin in Sweden. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy questions, email contact@whyilose.games.
2. What we collect
When you join, we store your email address, selected game, referral source or campaign when present, consent time and signup time. We also record basic funnel events such as page views and button clicks with a temporary anonymous session identifier. The public landing page does not use advertising cookies or persistent cross-site tracking.
3. Why we use it
- Manage the founding-player waitlist.
- Send the private beta, product and launch updates you requested.
- Understand which game pages and campaigns generate genuine interest.
- Protect the form and service from abuse.
The legal basis for waitlist emails is your consent. Basic security and anonymous funnel measurement are used for our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.
4. Who receives it
Data is available only to WHY I LOSE and service providers needed to host the site and database. Before an email-delivery provider is connected, this notice will be updated with any material change. We do not sell or rent personal data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist record until you withdraw consent or it is no longer needed for the beta and launch. Inactive waitlist records will be reviewed and deleted no later than 12 months after the public launch. Security logs may be retained for shorter operational periods by our infrastructure providers.
6. Your choices and rights
You may withdraw consent at any time. You may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object where processing relies on legitimate interest. Contact us using the email above. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
7. International processing
Infrastructure providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers must use recognized safeguards such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses.
8. Complaints and changes
You may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY. We may update this notice as the beta develops. Material changes affecting your choice will be communicated before they take effect.
